![]() Probably also going to see all of the stations revamped. They've also talked before about wanting to make intergalactic space (the space between galaxies) MUCH more dangerous than the empty nothing we have now. Its also assumed that AI will be getting it's overhaul during this update, that faction (NPC and PC) will be getting overhauls, and that we could possibly be seeing the return of fauna (animals/aliens/monsters, including deep space animals like the space whales). They've mentioned "resource points of interest" other than planets and asteroids, but we don't know what those might be, exactly. They're redoing planets entirely, for one. It isn't 100% foolproof, but it helps a LOT. That way the two viewpoints are identical, and it will derp out MUCH less. Fix for that is to put the output block of your salvage array directly behind the core (so it shoots through the core). If those two blocks are too far apart, the AI will just make the ship spin as it tries to get both views to line up (which they can't). It tries to aim the salvage array at the block it's mining, but it also tries to aim the core at the block as well. Best answer anyone has come up with so far is that the AI is conflicting with itself. If it doesn't, delete it and start again from scratch.ĥ) Not related to them not mining at all, but you may encounter drones that spin like tops for no apparent reason. If it flies off like a good little drone, you know the core is good, keep building. The best way around that is to make a 3 block pod core/power/thruster, add 1 salvage module, 1 salvage computer, and a storage block. If you save a blueprint off a bad core, anything you spawn from it will also plain not work. Sometimes you put a core down, build a drone, and it just plain does not work. C on the salvage computer, V on the storage container.Ĥ) If nothing else, you may have started with a "bad core". If the drone has nowhere to put what it mines, it won't even try. No idea why, but sometimes it helps.ģ) Make sure you have cargo space linked to the salvage computer. Sometimes it takes logging out and back in to reset a drone for some reason. Try to move further in towards the center of the sector, let your drones catch up to you, and then try the mine command again.Ģ) Reload. Things to check for drones that won't mine:ġ) Are you in the sector with the asteroid? You can have the asteroid on screen and the game can still think you're not in the same sector (even sometimes when it says you are), so "Mine this Sector" won't see it. For starters, you don't need a Bobby in your mining drones, the fleet commands work just fine without them. ![]()
